Brow Micropigmentation
Protea Medispa is now proud to offer Brow Micropigmentation! This includes Microblading, Powder Brows and Combination Brows. These techniques of permanent makeup will last on average 1-4 years with Annual Touchups and colour boosting requirements.
Microblading
Microblading is a manual form of cosmetic tattooing which generally lasts 1-3 years, This technique is done using a very fine blade to deposit coloured pigment into the skin to fill in sparse or over plucked brows to give them a natural hair stroke look. The pigments used are perfectly matched to your actual hair colour to make your new brows look as natural as possible.

Microblading is not suitable for those with oily skin as it tends to fade very quickly and/or will fade into thicker, blended strokes which will look more like soft powdered strokes. For best results, Microblading is recommended for normal-dry skin types. Regular day-to-day activities such as exercise the genetic composition of your skin as well as your ability to follow strict aftercare instructions will all play a big part in the longevity of your new brows.

Powder Brow
Creating Powder Brows is performed by using a hand held machine to implant pigment to create a very natural 'make-up look'. This method of cosmetic tattooing is very popular, as you have the versatility to create soft and powdery brows or go as bold as you like. This technique is suitable for all skin types and generally lasts between 2-5 years.
Just as Microblading, regular day-to-day activities such as exercise, the genetic composition of your skin as well as your ability to follow strict aftercare instructions will all play a big part in the longevity of your new brows. It is important to note that this method does not incorporate hair like strokes.

Combination Brows (aka Microshading)
Microshading is a combination of Microblading and machine shading (soft powder) which beautifully blends together creating a full and flawless look. This technique is my 'go-to' method for clients who have little to no natural brow hair and those who are use to filling their brows in.
Microshading is suitable for most skin types and generally lasts between 2-4 years. Lifestyle, skin type and your ability to follow strict aftercare instructions will all play a big part in the longevity of your new brows.
Lash & Brow Tinting
Lash and brow tinting gives definition to your eyes and face by enriching the colour of your brows and lashes. Our tinting solution is a vegetable based tint that is safe for both the eye, including contact lens users, and surrounding skin.

The tint is waterproof and lasts approximately 3-4 weeks.
