Mary has been a Registered Massage Therapist for over 19 years, graduating from the prestigious Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic, in Toronto.

 

Her background includes a career in fitness and wellness, as Canadian Personal Trainer, Developer and Educator of the accredited Massage Therapy program and Health Care/Law Specialist in Motor Vehicle Accident Benefits.

Mary has practised in a variety of settings including Long Term Care, private practice, medical office/hospital and spa in Toronto; as well as facilitator of the Elmwood Spa Management Program. Her commitment to continuing education includes Acupuncture at McMaster University, Cupping/Moxibustion at Shiatsu School of Canada and Shiatsu at Shiatsu school of Tokyo (trigger point therapy). Mary has received additional training in Lymph Drainage from Sutherland Chan and trained in the inclusion of essential oils (Rattray) in Massage Treatment. Mary is also trained as Labour Support Specialist.

Mary uses a combination of modalities to reduce tension in the physical body by promoting relaxation for the mind (neurology) through a therapeutic approach to massage.
